An upgraded J-45 in many peoples eyes, the Southern Jumbo was a cool addition to Gibson's dreadnought lineup, with block parallel inlay and upgraded headstock inlay and binding. This '62 example is killer, with a better and fuller sound than most of it's later 60's thanks to the non adjustable saddle and wider nut width.
This example has a top crack repaired the pickguard, besides that it remains 100% original. It appears to have never had a neck reset, and the current saddle height is optimal and does not need to be addressed anytime soon. There is a small amount of binding shrinkage, shown in the photos.
Serial #79428, comes with the original case. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
