This is a 1980 Los Angeles Benge Claude Gordon model in very good original condition.   The CG model is a large bore (.468) Benge with a .464 choke on the bell. This model has some of the thinnest gauge brass ever used on a trumpet bell.

Most CG Benge trumpets have had some dent work on the bell due to the thin brass and this one shows signs of a minimal amount of work on the bell flare.  It also has some areas of silver wear on the trim parts and the finger buttons are now polished raw brass.  The inside of the leadpipe looks generally clear, but there are a number of pin point dots of silver plating wear on the outside of the pipe indicating that there is red rot, which is very common on these horns.

As usual, there may be some distortion in some of the photos due to lighting and reflections, but please ask if you want to verify any part of the condition.

The other common problem with Benge trumpets in general is red rot in the leadpipe, but the leadpipe on this trumpet shows no signs of red rot.

Valve action is excellent and compression in very good.

Does not come with a case but we can provide a generic case if needed.
