Offering a vintage 1950's era Shure 556B "Super Cardioid" Dynamic Microphone. This model was first issued to the public in 1937 and became most famous for its association with Elvis, which showed him performing with this mic more than any other. Its acoustical characteristics favor midrange frequencies with some bass roll-off, and excels at feedback rejection when used in live venues. This design was Shure's most successful run, and is still in production today.

     The physical condition is all original and shows quite well, a testament to how well this mic was cared for through the decades. The original grill cloth is in good shape, no dents, no fractures to the ribs, no loose internals, with a pivot joint that holds the tilt angle firmly in place. This model has that lower shock mount, hardwired to a short cable to male XLR plug...just plug in your XLR extension cable and you're good to go.
