2005 Fender Custom Shop Master Built Eric Clapton Stratocaster NOS Mercedes Blue by Todd Krause

An Eric Clapton Stratocaster built by Todd Krause has arrived.

This signature Stratocaster features the iconic Mercedes Blue finish synonymous with Clapton models from the late 1990s, a special specification based on the color of Eric Clapton's own Mercedes-Benz.
The builder, Todd Krause, is one of the leading master builders at the Fender Custom Shop and is renowned for crafting instruments for world-class artists such as Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, David Gilmour, Robbie Robertson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robin Trower, and Roger Waters.
Thanks to his exceptional craftsmanship, this model achieves a perfect balance between meticulous structural design and superior playability, resulting in an instrument that maximizes the unique tonal character of the Clapton model.

This model is close to Clapton's own specifications, with no signature decal on the headstock and no TBX control.

The neck is made of lift-thorne maple with a 9.5" fingerboard radius and features the "Eric Clapton 'V' Shape" neck profile, while the body is crafted from two-piece alder.
The maple fingerboard features black dot position markers and 22 frets.

It is equipped with "Vintage Noiseless" pickups and features Master Volume, Master Tone, and Middle Boost controls. The body back cavity houses the battery and a wooden block securing the tremolo block.

Regarding the condition of this instrument, it has been carefully stored and retains its overall luster, though there are some dents and scratches in places.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain, and we have confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions.
