The MGbass Desert 5 Strings combines premium tonewoods, modern electronics, and smooth playability in a custom-built 5-string bass designed for serious players.
It features a beautiful Wenge over Mahogany double top on a Mahogany body, giving the instrument a rich, organic look with warm tone, strong mids, and excellent definition. The special body shape offers great balance and easy access to the upper frets, making it comfortable for both stage and studio use.
The neck-through construction improves sustain and resonance, while the 5-piece Maple / Mahogany / Wenge neck adds strength and stability. The Maple / Bubinga / Wenge fingerboard gives the bass a striking visual identity and a fast, articulate response. With 24 jumbo frets, 34.25” scale, 43mm nut width, and Luminlay side dots, this instrument is built for comfort and performance.
For electronics, the Desert 5 is equipped with EMG 40HZ pickups and an EMG preamp, delivering a clear, punchy, and versatile voice. Controls include Volume neck, volume bridge, Bass, Mid, Treble, powered by a 9V battery.
