Rare, unusual 1950's PHILLIPS EL6030 Dynamic Microphone, working, w/ desk stand

     Offering a vintage early 1950's Phillips EL 6030 dynamic hyper cardioid microphone, certainly one of the most innovative designs ever in the realm of microphones. Looking like some kind of Buck Rogers communications device, it was the company's top microphone model and was touted as "a microphone that could be placed twice as far from a speaker, compared to other microphones". It has a midrange dominant audio profile and tests with strong output. (Check the voice sample on the listing video.) This mic appears in the Anastasia music video "I'm Outta Love", as shown on the final listing photo.
     The overall condition is very good with just mild wear. The die-cast aluminum housing has it's original Hammered Grey paint with chromed front grill, as well as the original screen cloth, The on-off switch functions as it should, the pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly, and includes both the proprietary 3' mic cable with male XLR plug, plus the heavily-weighted desk stand. These mics rarely come up for sale, especially working, and would make a valued addition to any vintage microphone collection.

      The Phillips factory, from the south of Holland, almost had a monopoly in providing sound equipment for churches, both in the Netherlands and its colonies, ideal for P.A. use or any other number of general voice applications. These days Phillips is no longer in the microphone business, but continues to be a major manufacturer of medical devices and a wide array of home appliances. ** Always fair prices, fair shipping, great service!
