Looking for a non '50s Goldtop? Why not the early 70's? This c.1971 LP Standard '58 is about as cool as you'd expect, with that iconic green aging to the goldtop finish. It's an incredibly rare model, with factory wrap around bridge done at the time. The original P-90 routes have been widened to house the humbuckers, a welcome addition in our opinion. It sounds great with a bite not found on most LP's from this time.
This example has had multiple changed parts, listed here: replaced pickups, replaced wiring harness, older Gibson knobs, replaced truss rod cover, two plugged holes in the headstock face, 6 tuner screws replaced and a replaced bridge. The posts are original, and the wrap around tailpiece is likely a custom order as there are no additional routes. Serial #683608, comes with the original case although only the main latch is currently functional. Weighs 9.8lbs.
Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details and repairs & changes of note.
