Beautiful and fully original 1977 Guild X-500 in stunning Blonde finish, built during the highly regarded Westerly, Rhode Island production years of Guild.
This flagship archtop from the late ’70s delivers everything you’d expect from a top-tier jazz box: rich acoustic resonance, warm articulate tone, and elegant vintage styling. The laminated maple body paired with the spruce top produces exceptional clarity and depth whether played acoustically or amplified.
Equipped with its original Guild humbuckers, this guitar delivers a smooth, full jazz tone with great definition and warmth. The neck is comfortable and fast, making it equally suited for chord melody, comping, or single-note lines.
The Blonde finish beautifully shows off the maple grain and has aged nicely over the decades, giving the instrument a classic vintage presence. As expected for a nearly 50-year-old guitar, it shows some honest cosmetic wear, but remains structurally solid and plays wonderfully.
