One of the most faithful recreations of a pre-war dreadnought ever built, the Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS Aged is handcrafted in Nazareth, PA using traditional hide glue construction and period-accurate appointments. Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS) torrefies the Adirondack spruce top to replicate decades of aging — delivering the warmth, complexity, and open resonance of a vintage instrument from day one.
Paired with Guatemalan rosewood back and sides, the tonal character is immediate: thunderous lows, strong fundamentals, and singing trebles that bloom with every strum.
