Today, for your consideration - a 2012 Fender Telecaster Select! These guitars were produced for just one year from 2011 to 2012 and have been growing in popularity ever since. The model was designed with modern players in mind and feature contoured backs, chambered bodies, and glorious flamed maple tops. This example weighs just 6 pounds 10 ounces and is an absolute riot to play. It is far from collector grade, and for good reason. This was certainly someone’s gigging guitar for most of the last 14 years as it has an arm wear mark and plenty of buckle rash. Personally, we find this much more appealing than a mint example kept in the case but regardless of which side you take, you‘ll understand why it was played when you pick it up for yourself. Every note rings true and the pickups match the natural timbre of the body just right.
