The Time Machine line was Fender’s nod to vintage tone and feel, recreating the sonic character of classic ’50s and ’60s pickups with meticulous attention to detail. The Texas Specials in this set deliver that signature spank and bite—bright and articulate, with a warm midrange growl that’s perfect for everything from country twang to rock crunch.

These pickups pre-date any official signature or custom winder collaborations, but they are widely believed to be hand-wound, preserving the, dynamic character that makes vintage-style pickups so musical. The relic finish adds visual character without compromising the tone.
