Built at the legendary Gibson Custom Art & Historic factory in Nashville, this 2000 Les Paul Custom ʼ57 Reissue is a stunning example of early Custom Shop craftsmanship. Finished in rich Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer, it’s developed a natural vintage patina over time — that soft sheen and subtle checking that only decades of honest aging can create.
True to the original “Black Beauty” design, it features a solid mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, and multi-ply binding throughout. The gold hardware has gently mellowed to a warm tone that perfectly complements the aged finish.
This example includes its original Certificate of Authenticity and a set of genuine 1950s Gibson tuners, adding both period-correct style and collector appeal. It’s one of those rare Custom Shop instruments that feels alive — resonant, broken in, and unmistakably special.
