For sale is a legendary and exceptionally rare piece of recording history: an original vintage Telefunken ELA M 260. Please note: This is the original 1960s masterpiece, not the modern reissue. These microphones are so rare that finding concrete historical documentation on them can be a challenge. However, their pedigree is undeniable. Built by AKG for Telefunken during the exact same golden era as the legendary ELA M 251, the 260 shares much of the same DNA, craftsmanship, and magic as its famous large-diaphragm sibling.

Key Features & Components:

• The Tube: Equipped with a flawless, highly sought-after Telefunken AC701k subminiature tube.
• The Capsule: Features a beautiful, original AKG-made CK28 capsule.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition. It has been meticulously cared for and maintained.

I own most of the famous mid-century tube microphones, and this one stands out as something truly special. Simply put, it sounds incredible.

If you are looking for that larger-than-life, silky, and dimensional vintage tube sound in a small-diaphragm format, it does not get better than this. It captures acoustic instruments and even vocals with a richness and depth that modern microphones simply cannot replicate.

Whether you are a serious collector of vintage Telefunken/AKG microphones or a studio looking for an elite, secret-weapon microphone, this ELA M 260 is an absolute treasure.

Comes with power supply (can be set to voltage of your choice), cable and clip.
