About the Bit : Legend of FuzzThe Big : Legend of Fuzz is a very strange high gain fuzz that is constantly on the verge of breaking apart while maintaining a massive intensity. While it doesn't emulate the sound of an old video game system 1 to 1 like a bit crusher would, it has a lot of fascinating tonal characteristics that are reminiscent of the distorted waveforms of a Commodore 64. Honestly this is a very hard fuzz to describe because the way it interacts with your guitar depends a lot on which strings you are playing and which part of the fretboard you are playing on. This was a defining fuzz tone of Nine Inch Nails around the time of The Slip, featured heavily in the song 1,000,000. Check out the live rehearsal and listen for the distortion on the guitar that comes in at the beginning of the song. What is the 2503 series? It's a way to distinguish this series of guitar pedals begun manufacturing March 2025. Throughout the years I've enjoyed changing up the look and layout of my guitar pedals but I've done a bad job previously keeping track of the various changes. Hopefully this helps collectors better distinguish the various eras of my effects moving forward. Also, as a graphic designer I enjoy creating new looks for my gear.
