Vintage Framus German made hollowbody guitar. This one has the painted on f-hole, so it’s actually fully enclosed. This combined with the Bill Lawrence designed pickups make for a pretty cool unique sound. Guitar looks to be all original, lots of finish checking and blemishes throughout but overall good condition.
Back of headstock is stamped “26147 73E”. This dates the production date as May 1973.
The vibrato system on this one is especially unique, has a cigar tube similar to a Fender Mustang but with adjustable springs on top. Surprisingly usable, granted it is more suitable for more subtle action like a Bigsby. Currently set up for pitch down only so tuning stability is pretty good, can be adjusted to fully floating as well. It’s paired with a rather intricate looking bridge with adjustable string spacing.
Has a laminated neck like most Framus guitars of this vintage, moderate fret wear but still playable. Fret heights are on the lower side so can take a bit to get used to. Nut measures 1.65” wide. Original tuners all function, but are a bit wore out. There is an area on the back of the neck where the lacquer is worn off.
Guitar weighs 6 lbs 14 oz. No case or gig bag included but will be packed securely. please feel free to reach out with any questions.
