Up for sale is a 2006 Gibson SJ-200 Montana Gold Anniversary Koa, a high-end Montana-built jumbo that stands apart from standard SJ-200 production models.

This guitar has been carefully maintained and well preserved over the years. At the time of purchase, the top was professionally treated by the luthier, and it has remained stable since. Aside from some finish wear around the bridge area, the condition is very clean for its age.

What makes this instrument truly special is the tonewood combination. It features a AAA Sitka spruce top paired with figured Hawaiian Koa back and sides — a premium and less common configuration for the SJ-200.

Compared to typical maple-bodied SJ-200s, this Koa version offers:

• Warmer and richer midrange
• Slightly smoother high-end response
• While still maintaining the signature jumbo projection and piano-like clarity
