The bass features an alder body w/ a Walnut Burl top. Outfitting the body are a pair of Bartolini Jeff Berlin custom soapbar pickups, a Babicz Full Contact Hardware bridge, Sadowsky Preamp (info below) and gold hardware. The hard rock maple neck is complemented w/ an ebony fingerboard and 3/2 headstock featuring Hipshot Ultralight tuners. The neck is thin and comfortable making playing easy. I upgraded the preamp and put in the Sadowsky which gives this bass more versatility. I also installed the angled string retainer above the nut. It ships in a soft shell case pictured. $1150. Plus shipping.
This a great bass, ther are no issues with the neck and with a bathroom scale its at 9lbs.
I just have never made the switch to 5 string.
