Ampex ATR-102 1/2" head block with like new Flux Magnetics Erase / Repro / Playback block and 1/2" guides. What makes this block unique is the ME (Mastering Extended Response) Playback head. These playback heads utilize a unique head core shape to offer extended response down to 20Hz at 30ips, performance traditional 1/2" heads cannot achieve. These heads are highly sought after and long out of production.
Condition of the heads are like new condition with no noticeable wear from use on the heads. I bought this block from the original owner who purchased this with a 1/4" ATR-102 from ATR Services. This was a seldom-used conversion kit. Due to the rare nature and like-new condition of the heads, pricing is relatively rigid.
For the nostalgic, you'll find Mike Spitz's signature on the rear of the block.
