Excellent condition!! We've got a classic '70s Ludwig No. 402 rock metal snare drum in stock!
The serial number indicates it dates to circa 1977-1979, and the shell is in excellent condition with almost no bits (peeling plating due to aging).
The shell is, of course, made of Radialloy (aluminum alloy). The B&O (BLUE & OLIEVE BADGE) emblem and a sticker on the inside of the shell. The strainer switch is a '70s BLACK FACE P-85, two-hole type, with an original hoop. The built-in muffler is original.
The butt section is equipped with a '70s P-32, and the set screw is still intact. The snare wire is the original 1930 18-strand, and the top head is a REMO coated Ambassador. The tension bolt washers, which play an important role in Ludwig snares, are original brass washers that reduce high-frequency overtones.
The moderate aging creates a vintage look, while the responsive mid- and high-range tones characteristic of Ludwig are impeccable.
