Incredibly rare lap steel. One of the first instruments made by fender. This one is all original and sounds great with the exception of the rebuilt pickup by Josh Gravelin. Its as close to the original as could be, with the coil being an exact clone, using the original magnets and casing. The original pickups are a string through design and commonly had plastic that held the coil that would deteriorate over time. This would cause the winding to cave in on itself rendering the instrument unplayable. This one suffered that and this repair is as true to having the original as could possibly be. The original winding and leads are included in the sale!
The electronics besides this are all original. Organ button works but is a bit noisy. The tone pot works but its range from full tone to minimum tone comes on quite quick. This ships fully insured and packaged with care.
