This bass is in great shape, and really punches way above its weight class after the upgrades. I’ve owned it for a couple of years and played it extensively within that time, but I take really good care of my gear. The included Sadowsky gig bag is basically unused, because I use a Mono bag (not included). I’m only selling to help fund a Dingwall that I just bought.
Original pickups and hardware are included too.
This is a 1st gen Metro Express with the following upgrades (Roughly $600):
-Headstock logo changed to the normal Sadowsky logo like the 2nd gen Metro Express basses
-Pickups upgraded to the US Sadowsky P/J set
-Sadowsky VTC preamp/control plate
-Tuners upgraded to Hipshot Ultralights
-The awful 1st gen string retainer was upgraded to a Hipshot like the 2nd gen Metro Express basses
**The Hipshot string retainer, while it looks the same as the US Sadowsky one, is slightly longer. So it’s angled to fit. If you look closely in the heads photo, you can see where I filled the original screw holes. It could probably be blended better, but it was good enough for me.
