For sale is an Akai APC Key25 Ableton Live midi controller.
Works perfectly.
Collection ideally from Leeds LS1 (I live down the road from the train station) but will post if necessary.
The Akai Professional APC Key 25 (Mk1) is a compact USB MIDI controller specifically designed for Ableton Live. It combines a 25-key synth-action keyboard with a 5x8 grid of tri-color pads for launching clips.
Key Features of the APC Key 25 (Mk1):
- Keyboard: 25 synth-action mini-keys.
- Clip Launch Matrix: 40 pads (5x8) with tri-color lighting for displaying clip status (loaded, playing, recording).
- Control Knobs: 8 assignable knobs for controlling volume, pans, sends, and device parameters.
- Navigation & Performance: Dedicated buttons for octave up/down, sustain, and scene navigation.
- Integration: Designed for plug-and-play integration with Ableton Live.
- Power & Connectivity: USB-powered; no additional power supply or drivers required.
- Build: Lightweight and portable, often compared to the size of an 11-inch MacBook Air.
Differences from Mk2:
The Mk2 version (released later) updated the design with RGB-backlit pads, a slightly different keybed, and improved integration features, but the original (Mk1) remains a popular, affordable, and highly portable choice for Ableton producers.
