For sale is a 1993 Ibanez AS200, built in Japan by the renowned FujiGen factory during the final era of original AS200 production. Introduced in 1979, the AS200 has long been considered one of Ibanez’s flagship semi-hollow models — celebrated for its premium materials, meticulous craftsmanship, and versatile tonal range.

This example showcases the classic double-cutaway semi-hollow design with a beautifully figured flamed maple top (often described as curly or tiger maple), paired with flamed maple back and sides and elegant ivory multi-ply binding. A hard rock maple center block enhances sustain and feedback resistance, while the set-in mahogany neck is topped with a bound 22-fret ebony fingerboard featuring pearl and abalone split block inlays for a refined, high-end aesthetic.

Electronics include a pair of gold-covered Super 58 humbuckers — widely regarded as some of Ibanez’s finest vintage-voiced pickups. The neck pickup features a Tri-Sound switch for expanded tonal options (series, parallel, and coil-tap style tones), delivering everything from warm, full-bodied jazz textures to articulate, cutting lead tones. Additional premium hardware includes a Gibraltar II bridge, Quik Change II tailpiece, bone nut, Sure Grip knobs, tortoise shell pickguard, and VelveTune tuners with ivory buttons.

The neck carve measures a comfortable .86" at the 1st fret to .92" at the 12th, offering a smooth, fast feel while maintaining substance for sustain and stability. At 8 lbs 15 oz, it balances beautifully on a strap or seated.
