Ibanez Iceman Model # IC420 Electric Guitar - Antique Autumn Burst Finish
A Hard-rocking Axe with Timeless Visual Appeal Thanks to its radical shape, the Iceman has long been one of Ibanez's most spotlight-ready models, so much so that Paul Stanley of the band Kiss has favored it for the bulk of his decades-long career. The Ibanez Iceman IC420 is a prime example of this head-turning solidbody electric guitar. The IC420 is carved from a solid slab of okoume and features a 3-piece set-in okoume neck, which gives it a brilliant, sustaining acoustic tone with truckloads of bite. Its Super 80 humbuckers are genuine scorchers, arming you with a bright PAF-inspired sound and enough output to give your amplifier a good spanking. This photogenic axe's performance-ready hardware consists of a Gibraltar Performer fixed bridge, a Quik Change III tailpiece, and Ibanez tuners. Gleaming gold hardware and a light-catching gloss polyurethane finish round out the inimitable Iceman IC420.Head-turning Iceman styling Boasting an Iceman-shaped body.
With perhaps the exception of the RG and several legendary signature models, there are few guitars more integral to the identity of Ibanez than the Iceman. With its sweeping lines and dramatic appearance, this model was first unveiled to the world in 1977 and later adopted the Iceman name in 1978. Notable models include the IC100, IC300, ICT700, and signature offshoots like the PS10 and Fireman.
With its storied history and iconic status, the Iceman remains a fixture in countless guitar collections, inspiring artistic creativity around the world.
