PRS Eddie's Guitars Wood Library Special Semi Hollow Quilt/Stained Maple Neck - Whale Blue #422056

The PRS Eddie’s Guitars Wood Library Special Semi-Hollow Quilt/Stained Maple Neck – Whale Blue is a breathtaking fusion of elite craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, and dynamic tonal versatility. Built as part of an exclusive Wood Library run for Eddie’s Guitars, this instrument elevates the already revered Special Semi-Hollow platform with stunning aesthetics and meticulously selected materials. Finished in an entrancing Whale Blue, the quilt maple Ten Top delivers dramatic depth and movement, its three-dimensional figuring enhanced by PRS’s meticulous staining process. The semi-hollow body construction, paired with a rich mahogany back, adds air, resonance, and harmonic bloom while maintaining the focused clarity and sustain players expect from PRS.

At the heart of this guitar is a 25" scale length and 22-fret configuration, striking the perfect balance between snap and warmth. The figured maple neck not only complements the visual elegance of the quilted top, but also adds articulation and note definition. Carved to PRS’s comfortable Pattern neck shape, it offers a familiar, balanced feel that accommodates a wide range of playing styles. The ebony fretboard provides a smooth, glassy playing surface with a fast attack and piano-like clarity, adorned with the iconic J Birds inlays crafted from abalone with vibrant paua centers—an unmistakable PRS signature that adds both elegance and stage presence.

Tonally, this Wood Library Special Semi-Hollow is remarkably versatile. It is equipped with McCarty III Bass and Treble pickups, delivering vintage-inspired warmth with modern clarity and dynamic response. The semi-hollow construction enhances harmonic complexity, making clean tones shimmer and overdriven sounds bloom with dimension. A 5-way blade pickup switch, along with volume and push/pull tone controls and dual mini-toggles, provides an expansive palette of tones—from full, muscular humbucking power to nuanced single-coil textures. Whether you’re chasing articulate cleans, bluesy grit, or soaring lead tones, this guitar responds with clarity and musical sensitivity.

The PRS Patented Gen III Tremolo bridge ensures expressive vibrato performance with exceptional tuning stability, while PRS Phase III locking tuners make string changes effortless and keep the instrument solidly in tune. Finished with smoked black hardware, the aesthetic strikes a perfect balance between modern edge and refined sophistication. The guitar comes protected in a Black Paisley hard case, ensuring it travels in style and security.

As a Wood Library creation from Paul Reed Smith Guitars, this instrument represents a rare combination of artistry, innovation, and tonal excellence. The Eddie’s Guitars Wood Library Special Semi-Hollow Quilt/Stained Maple Neck in Whale Blue is more than just a guitar—it’s a collector-grade statement piece built for players who demand beauty, performance, and uncompromising sound in one extraordinary instrument.
