2008 Fender Mexico Classic 60s Stratocaster — upgraded with Seymour Duncan pickups!
This model faithfully recreates early-’60s specs: alder body, rosewood fingerboard, 3‑tone sunburst finish, 3‑ply pickguard and other period-correct details. Unlike the current Player or Vintera lines — which pares away modern features to recreate the vintage feel — the Classic 60s is a more direct, traditional reproduction of early‑’60s Strat tone and feel.
Playability
- 7.25” radius fingerboard with slimmer vintage frets — a distinctly vintage feel compared with the Player series’ 9.5" radius and medium‑jumbo frets. The neck profile and string tension emphasize classic Strat playability.
Pickup/electronics
- Electronics were upgraded by the previous owner. Front and middle pickups replaced with Seymour Duncan SSL‑2; bridge pickup replaced with Seymour Duncan SSL‑6. Internal wiring has also been replaced. Plastic parts such as the pickguard were likely replaced as well.
