British Steel.
Here is a british classic. It's a Sound City 50 Plus Mark 4 (L50) head made by Dallas Arbiter. We think it's 1970. It is super clean and totally original. A very rare find. This amp has come from a collector and has been stored and cared for appropriately. Tested and mind-blowing. As with all vintage amps we suggest a qualified tech service before regular use.
The Sound City 50 Plus (often Mark IV) is a 1970s British-built, 50-watt tube amplifier, designed by Dave Reeves (founder of Hiwatt) and manufactured by Dallas Arbiter. Known for high-quality components, including Partridge transformers, it offers a clean, loud, and versatile tone, often compared to Hiwatt but with earlier, more aggressive breakup.
Circuitry: Point-to-point construction, with active, high-sensitivity tone controls (Bass, Middle, Treble) for each channel, providing extensive tone-shaping.
Inputs: Features four inputs (Normal and Brilliant channels) that can be mixed or bridged for varied tones.
Tubes: Powered by EL34 output tubes.
