**All original from our inspection/ however it is missing the bridge cover and the pickup cover (the screws and screw holes are there though). We believe this Thunderbird to be in very good condition overall, it does exhibit some buckle rash and other signs of normal play wear including some small divots in the first few frets particularly on the D, and G string. For your consideration we have a one owner 1976 Gibson Thunderbird Bicentennial model in natural finish, presented in overall very good condition for its age. Produced during the U.S. Bicentennial era, this mid-’70s Thunderbird is a great example of Gibson’s iconic reverse-body bass with classic looks, powerful tone, and serious stage presence.
This bass features its original natural finish over a multi-piece body and neck construction, delivering the punchy low end, strong mids, and piano-like clarity Thunderbirds are known for. The stock Gibson pickups provide plenty of output and character, making this a great choice for rock, blues, and classic styles where a Thunderbird’s signature growl really shines.
This instrument has remained with its original/ first owner since new and has been well cared for over the decades. All parts and electronics remain original, and it includes the original Gibson hardshell case. Cosmetically, it shows normal signs of use consistent with a vintage instrument from 1976, but overall presents very well and has clearly been maintained with care.
