The WEM CCB-1 is a recreation of the preamp section of the famous WEM Copicat tape echo unit. These British made tape echos were a popular alternative to rarer American models and can be heard across many legendary studio and live recordings from the sixties and seventies - the CCB-1 gives you access to the boost and tone-shaping capabilities of the Copicat preamp in a modern, convenient format.
- Recreation of original Copicat tape echo preamp circuit
- Over +20dB of boost available for your guitar
- 'Freq' controls bass response; clockwise for full-on to boost thin single coils, or anti-clockwise to trim unruly humbuckers
- Operates at either 9v or 18v for increased headroom and touch sensitivity
