Note: This guitar is in very good to excellent condition overall. Personally I would lean more toward excellent. All original with the exception of knobs, but the reflector knobs on it are 1960s knobs, are period correct and probably worth more than black reflector knobs. The tuning pegs are questionable, but could be original to this guitar. There are no extra holes and no markings in the finish from other bushings or peg strips. The spacing between the strip mounting screws are not even, so I believe if these were not original to the guitar, there would surely be extra holes.

Here's The Run Down:
This is a Vintage 1965 Gibson USA Melody Maker D Electric Guitar that's in great condition over all for its age and plays/sounds even better than it looks! Its in the cosmetic condition as pictured, so be sure to view them all (more available upon request). I tried to take really good pics, so you can judge its overall cosmetic condition for yourself (see pics). 1965 pot codes with untouched solder joints. The finish was professionally black lighted and is 100% original and repair free. The finish does have minor checking, light dings, scratches, a few chips marks and/or flaws here and there as pictured, but still in amazing condition for a 61 year old vintage guitar. The hardware is in good shape, but has some discoloration as would expect. The frets show minor wear and plays perfectly with low action over the entire fingerboard.
Although I think its set up perfectly, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility and cost to have it set up to your liking. The neck is straight with a working truss rod. Freshly and professionally set up with Super Slinky 9's.
The Non-Original Period Correct Chip Board Case is in very good usable condition without issue. It will show some wear and tear, but works as it should. These early 1960s cases have a following and value of their own. The case fits the guitar just as the original chipboard case would have.
Make sure you view all of the pics and ask questions if you have any concerns before buying.
