Terada No. 800 Classical Guitar – Made in Japan – Vintage MIJ Nylon – w/ Hard Case

This is a vintage Japanese classical guitar built by Terada, labeled No. 800. Terada was one of the higher-quality Japanese workshops and built instruments for a number of respected brands, but also produced guitars under their own internal numbering system like this one.

The interior label reads:

• 第800号 — “No. 800”
• 火 — “Hi” (often used as a workshop/inspection mark)
• 寺田 彦 — Terada Hiko (Terada workshop / maker name)

Construction-wise, this is a traditionally built classical with a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides (very typical of Terada-built nylon strings from this period). Fit and finish are clean, the neck is straight, frets are in good shape, and it plays evenly up the neck.

Tone is warm and balanced with good clarity on the trebles and a rounded low end. It’s responsive without being overly stiff, and it has that dry, mature sound you expect from a well-made older Japanese classical.

Cosmetically, it’s in very good vintage condition. There are light signs of use, but no cracks or structural issues noted. The guitar feels solid and well cared for.

Includes a vintage hard shell case, which shows wear but does its job and fits the guitar properly.
