Selling my 1989 Yamaha BB5000A, made in Taiwan. This is the smaller 15-16mm spacing flagship BB model from Yamaha’s late-80s era, and it’s an absolute workhorse.
These are known for being incredibly solid, clear, and punchy. Tight low B, very even response across the neck, and it records extremely well. PJ pickups with the original active electronics. Sits well in a mix without fighting too much. Works great for R&B, funk, pop, rock, gospel, or studio work.
Condition is excellent for its age. It’s a 1989 bass, so there’s normal cosmetic wear, but nothing structural. Neck is straight, truss rod works as it should, electronics are fully functional, and it plays perfect. Matter of fact, i love this bass, but it only comes out for recordings these days and wrong to let it sit.
