Fender Japan JB62-550 Jazz Bass (1991, Fujigen)
Based on the neck date, this instrument was manufactured in 1991, during the highly regarded Fujigen era.
This bass has clearly been well played, and the body shows numerous dings, scratches, and finish checking consistent with long-term use. Rather than detracting from the instrument, this heavy playwear gives it strong character and a broken-in feel.
Tonally, this is a very forward-sounding Jazz Bass with an unusually strong presence that cuts through the mix. As detailed below, several key parts have been upgraded, making this an excellent choice for players who prioritize sound over cosmetics.

- Complete setup (string height, truss rod adjustment, intonation, pickup height)

Condition & Modifications
- Neck: Slight forward bow
- String height at 12th fret:
- 4th string: 2.6 mm
- 1st string: 2.2 mm
- Neck condition: Slight high spots; some fret buzz may occur when playing aggressively in the upper register
- Frets: Good height remaining, approx. 80%
- Nut: Replaced with oil-soaked bone nut
- Electronics upgrades:
- All potentiometers replaced with CTS units
- Capacitor replaced with a ceramic capacitor
As expected for an instrument over 30 years old, there are noticeable signs of wear and use throughout.
