This guitar had a masterful neck reset. Plays and sounds gorgeous. I added the Baggs Hi Fi pickup system which more faithfully recreates this guitar than any system I’ve ever had (and I’ve had damn near all of ‘em over the years). On stage or recorded straight into the board, no piezo quack.

The condition of this guitar is astounding given its age. No crazing. no cracks, no splits, and very few dings. The few “wounds” over the years are pictured. Note: The side view picture shows the reflection of a lock that is on the wood file cabinet under the guitar. It’s not something in or on the guitar!

The original ivory tuners got lost over the years. I had a set of old Gibson tuners that fit into the original screw holes, so I replaced the tuners it came with which were steel butter-bean

-shaped ones. The guitar is pictured with Martin liquid pins. I’ll remove those and replace with what I assume are the originals.

Comes with what I believe is the original case. (Even the case is virtually unblemished!)

If you are a collector, this is the one you want, Few from this era are this pristine. I believe a few were made in ’64, but these ‘65s are the first production units.
