Audient Console Mic Preamps

Every iD interface features the Audient Console Mic Preamp, using the same discrete circuit design found in Audient’s acclaimed ASP8024-HE recording console. The iD24’s two Class-A mic preamps provide ultra-low noise, low distortion, and a touch of classic analogue warmth. The result is a clean, accurate, and true-to-source capture that preserves the character of vocals and instruments.

Digital I/O for Studio Expansion

When your sessions grow, iD24 grows with you. Its optical ADAT and SPDIF input and output allow you to add up to 8 additional channels of mic preamps or converters. This makes iD24 well suited for recording drums, ensembles, or full bands without replacing your interface.

Balanced Inserts for Hybrid Workflows

The two fully balanced inserts allow seamless integration of outboard compressors, EQs, and processors prior to conversion. Insert returns provide direct access to the A/D converters for the cleanest signal path possible, making iD24 ideal for tracking with hardware FX, mixing with outboard gear, recording external mic preamps, or bypassing the onboard preamps entirely.

JFET Instrument Input

Designed to replicate the input stage of a classic valve amplifier, the JFET instrument input delivers rich harmonic response and proper impedance matching for guitar and bass. This gives amp simulations a solid, musical foundation and ensures a natural feel when recording direct.

USB Bus Powered Convenience

iD24 is fully USB bus powered, eliminating the need for an external power supply. This keeps your setup clean and portable while delivering uncompromised performance, making iD24 ideal for desktop studios and mobile production.

Flexible Monitoring and Headphone Control

With four line outputs, iD24 supports main and alternate speaker monitoring or routing to an external headphone amplifier. An independent stereo headphone amplifier provides enough power to drive headphones up to 600 ohms, and both 1/4 inch and mini-jack outputs allow two sets of headphones to be connected simultaneously.

User-Defined Monitor Control

Speed up your workflow using three programmable function buttons. Assign features such as Speaker Select, Talkback, Polarity Invert, or Mono Sum for instant access. Quickly switch speakers, reference mixes in mono, or communicate with artists without breaking focus.

Software Mixer, Talkback, and Loop-back

The iD Software Mixer tightly integrates hardware and software, enabling ultra-low-latency direct monitoring, two stereo cue mixes, advanced routing, and custom layouts from a single app. Dedicated Talkback lets you use any computer-connected microphone as a talkback source, freeing your mic preamps for recording.

With Audio Loop-back, iD24 can capture system audio alongside microphones, making it ideal for streaming, podcasting, online collaboration, and gaming audio. Loop-back sources are selectable via the software mixer to suit different production scenarios.
