This is a great example of what Martin specialized in…making such fabulous sounding small bodied models of all types. This is a very special early production 0-17 Guitar made in 1944 in all original clean shape 1 of just a few 0-17 models available. Its Mahogany top is quite clean that’s been played a bit w/no repairs. It’s got weather checking all over but has perfect tone & playability. It still has all of its original scalloped braces. It’s Mahogany back & sides are absolutely crack free. Its 1 piece V shape neck feels very comfy, plays great & has a perfect neck angle. It sports a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood headstock veneer w/Martins early decal logo of its type. Its original “War Time” Grover open back nickel plated tuners w/ivoroid buttons have factory plugs in place of screws & are super clean & hold tune pretty well. Its Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard & bridge are still quite nice. She’s just had a pro-reset neck w/super low action. Amazingly she still retains her original Frets. If you ever wanted a killer sounding 82 year old perfect playing 0 size Martin…this is it. She’s very good overall & comes w/a generic hard case.
