Vintage 1940's American D7T "Clipper" Dynamic Microphone, works w/cable-stand

Offering a vintage 1940's era American Microphone Company D7T Dynamic Microphones. In my opinion, the 1940's cranked out the most unique and innovative microphones EVER! The quality of materials (no plastics) and aesthetic design were unmatched, and this petite model from California's American Microphone Company is a great example. The company nicknamed this little general purpose mic "The Clipper". The D7T is a high impedance microphone that has an audio profile favoring the midrange, with bass roll-off. That makes it desirable for harp musicians, ham operators, and the like. (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.) The output is about 60% of normal, so a good pre-amp is desirable.

     The one chromed casing has seen a bit of use in its 65 year life, so a lot of it is worn but still presents very nicely, and the American Microphone maker's badge on the back of the casing is still clear. The matching chromed desk stand makes for a perfect match, and measures 7" tall with the mic. The inner screen cloth is new for sanitary reasons. A short adapter cable is included, screw-on Switchcraft to male XLR plug.
