I am offering a Martin D-18 Reimagined from 2017, the crafted in Nazareth (PA), USA, legendary all solid timber Dreadnought acoustic guitar from Martin's Reimagined Series with fine spruce top over a forward shifted X-bracing, back/sides made of mahogany, set-in selected hardwood neck with modified low oval neck profile and 44.5mm bone nut, elegant ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle and high-end Grover open gear tuners in a brilliant nitrocellulose natural high-gloss finish with tortoise pickguard and multi-ply black bindings in excellent condition, including black Martin Deluxe hardshell case, manufacturer's papers and professional setup with 12-gauge Elixir strings.
This traditional D-14 Fret dreadnought acoustic guitar is crafted from the finest materials and comes with a tasteful, timeless look. The dreadnoughts of the 18 series—guitars with solid spruce tops and solid mahogany backs and sides—have been an integral part of Martin for nine decades. Since its introduction in 1931, the D-18 has not changed much, is still considered THE iconic dreadnought, and has been played by countless of the most famous guitarists ever, from Kurt Cobain to Paul Simon to Neil Young.
When selecting the top wood, you can see that expertise and experience flow directly into Martin's guitar making. A finely resonant spruce top provides a bright and powerful sound experience, especially in the mid and high frequencies, with numerous overtones that linger for a long time. Due to its strong vibration behavior, the top, in combination with forward-shifted X-bracing, builds up an incomparable dynamic that impressively brings out both classic strumming and picking.
The mahogany back and sides also provide three-dimensional tonal depth with clear, cleanly defined bass and singing mids. This allows the guitar to produce the characteristically balanced, warm tone that has enchanted generations of guitarists time and again.
A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.
The combination of a classic 645mm scale length, a 44.5mm bone nut, and a modified low oval neck profile ensures a comfortable and smooth playing feel.
Visually, the guitar impresses at first glance with its slightly aged natural high-gloss finish combined with classic details such as mother-of-pearl dot inlays in the black ebony fingerboard and Grover open-gear tuners with butterbean knobs.
