1956 Gibson Les Paul Jr. 8 lbs. 8 oz. Minimal fret wear and fingerboard gouging. No dents or dings/chips in wood. One finish flaw on back near control cavity. I bought this guitar back in the 1970’s with all of it’s original parts except the finish. It had been stripped and stained dog doodoo brown with no finish coat. A pro factory style re-fin was done by local luthier, Ron Lira, sometime between 1975 & 1985. It was never inked stamped on the back of the headstock at the time. The tuners may have been replaced at some point with period correct 50’s-60’s tuners purchased from Steve Melkasethian at Angela Instruments, But I can’t say for certain. If so it was due to deteriorated tuner buttons. I’m pretty certain the headstock logos and black face are original with additional clear coat when re-finished. Truss rod cover and screws are original. No headstock/neck cracks or breaks. Pickguard and screws original. Knobs, original. Pick-up, cover & screws all original. Strap buttons original. Original bridge in case, replaced with wrap over tune-a-matic. Control cover & screws original. Original bumble bee tone cap. Pots may well be original centralabs. Jack original with replaced plastic plate which is cracked at 2 holes. I will try to get pics of pot codes and update that info. Includes newer Gibson LP Jr. HSC. For more info or pics, message me.
