The 515SA is a high-impedance dynamic microphone from Shure’s classic Unidyne B series, designed for general-purpose use in PA systems, voice amplification, and live sound reinforcement. It features a cardioid pickup pattern for focused sound capture and reduced feedback, with a frequency response tailored for speech and vocals.
This model includes a built-in push-button on/off switch and was commonly used in educational, institutional, and live settings during the 1970s. The attached cable terminates to a standard 1/4" phone plug, ideal for high-Z inputs or direct use with guitar amps, mixers, or vintage PA gear.
