The stand is a a heavy, late 50’s early 60’s period Altec model. This makes for a very stable platform making it almost impossible to knock over. It’s base is thick cast iron with the stock hunter green paint scheme and 4 inch chrome riser. The center chrome accent piece is made of brass with a satin chrome plate. This base was a push to talk model and still has all the original accessories. If you're good with a soldering iron you can always make it operational. The black button was used to make the mic go live with depression activating the unit. Not currently wired but wouldn't take long to do so. A red light is supposed to show when the mic is live. The bottom of the base has the original cable clamp.
