Fender tailed-logo hardshell case, vintage original equipment manufacturer supplied by vendors with 1967-1971 Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters. These cases lingered at dealerships well into the mid-70s.

Structural integrity is excellent. All hardware and fasteners are original with minimal corrosion and function as designed. If you have a prized Strat or Tele from this era, then this case will be an exclamation point.

Despite the case being nearly 60 years old, I held onto this one for the longest due to its exceptional condition compared to several others I've seen, handled, and owned. I no longer own a suitable guitar for this case, so it's time to release it to the next owner.

Please review the photos as they serve to support my interpretation of condition. Pay particular attention to the piping and stitching - compare it to others. It appears this one has spent its time stored in closets rather than in car trunks or pickup beds. There are no particular odors.

The interior clearly has a ghost print of the guitar that formerly occupied this case (1972 Stratocaster 3-bolt w/ vibrato). It is my belief that many buyers back then - acoustic and electric - opted for no case or alternate selections when buying new guitars. That practice is still prevalent today. I suspect this case was 'suspended inventory,' which sold with a later model Strat. It will accommodate all standard Stratocasters and Telecasters. I do not know whether it will work for other models (i.e., Jazzmaster, Mustang, Jaguar, DuoSonic, et al.). Please conduct due diligence research using standard dimensions of the Strat and Tele to make a determination whether your guitar will fit.
