Up for sale today is a 1992 Taylor 555 12-String Jumbo Acoustic / Electric Guitar in very good condition with a Taylor Hard Case. This instrument comes in a Natural finish and weighs in at 5lbs 8oz. This instrument has been fully serviced by our master luthier with a couple face crack repairs and a brand new bridge! (See pics) The electronics is a old Ribbon Transducer unit that is working fine now, but is definitely deteriorating and will need to be replaced at some point in the medium term. The guitar itself? Absolutely rock solid with a huge rich sound. Keep this bad boy humidified and looked after by a good luthier and you’ll have a beautiful instrument for many many years!

Discontinued in 2006, the Taylor 555 12-string jumbo acoustic guitar sports one of Taylor's classic tonewood combos: the sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides. Though it was originally produced in 1978, making it one of Taylor's earliest models, the 555's luxe aesthetic components, like its pearl headstock inlay, abalone rosettes, and diamond fingerboard inlays, weren't added until 1994.
