Here we have a 1978 MusicMan StingRay Bass with active electronics for that nice, punchy, yet thick solid bottom end. My brother bought this in 1977 when working with Roger Miller. The original neck was full of knots and wouldn't straighten out. So he went to the factory in Corona and stated his case at the counter to no avail. Just then, in walks Leo Fender and assesses the situation and takes him to the shop where they choose another neck- (this one) and Leo, himself, removes and replaces the neck and said "Thanks for buying my bass," and sends him on his way.
I received this bass in 1980 and have been playing it off and on since then. Because I don't use it that much anymore, I need to sell it and let someone else enjoy it. It's a really good player. Peace
