The Epiphone J-45 Studio EC is part of the Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars have been completely reimagined to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic instruments inspired by iconic Gibson designs. The J-45 Studio EC blends classic design and modern functionality, appealing equally to beginners and seasoned players alike.

Based on the legendary Gibson J-45, known as "The Workhorse," the J-45 Studio EC features a cutaway sloped shoulder body and 24.75" scale length. The cutaway design provides easy access to the upper frets, making it an ideal choice for players who explore the full range of the fretboard.

It features a layered mahogany body with four-ply ivory and black binding on the top, single-ply ivory binding on the back, and a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that improves with age.

The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a glued-in tapered dovetail joint and has a Rounded C profile for comfortable playability. It's topped with a rosewood fretboard that includes 20 standard frets and pearloid dot inlays.

At the bridge, the strings pass over a compensated plastic saddle and are anchored to a belly-up rosewood bridge with ivory-colored bridge pins. Vintage-style aesthetic touches include a teardrop-shaped dark tortoiseshell pickguard, three-on-a-plate tuners with ivory-colored plastic buttons, and a 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock with the Epiphone logo in gold silkscreen.

The J-45 Studio EC is equipped with Fishman electronics, including an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys II preamp with side-mounted volume, bass, treble, and phase controls. A convenient built-in tuner allows for quick and easy tuning on the go.

The Epiphone J-45 Studio EC comes in a gloss finish and includes a standard gig bag.
