The Martin CEO-7 is a standout in the Martin lineup — a guitar that gracefully bridges the gap between vintage tradition and modern inspiration. Originally introduced as part of the “Martin Chief Executive Officer” series — a limited-run line personally overseen by Chris Martin IV — the CEO-7 draws heavy influence from the golden era of American acoustic guitars, particularly the iconic 00 and slope-shouldered designs of the 1930s. With its compact body, Adirondack spruce top, and warm Autumn Sunset Burst finish, the CEO-7 looks and sounds like something pulled from a dusty case in a vintage guitar shop — only it’s brand new and built with precision to today’s standards.

Tonally, the CEO-7 punches far above its size. The Adirondack spruce top — prized for its headroom and dynamic response — combines beautifully with mahogany back and sides to create a focused, punchy sound with clear, singing trebles and a dry, articulate low end. It’s a versatile voice that shines equally in fingerstyle arrangements, flatpicked leads, or warm vocal accompaniment. The shorter 24.9" scale length enhances the guitar’s relaxed feel, and the Modified V neck profile adds a vintage touch while remaining highly playable for modern hands.

Whether you're a traditionalist looking for a vintage-inspired heirloom, a singer-songwriter in need of a stage and studio companion, or a collector searching for a compact Martin that delivers tonal sophistication in a small package, the CEO-7 delivers. Available now at Haggerty’s Music, this guitar is a beautifully built, musically expressive instrument — and with its included hardshell case, it's ready for a lifetime of music-making.
