Some may argue Taylor’s heyday was in the 90s when they had a little more traditional construct, single piece necks and a devotion to playability mixed with great materials. This guitar just may be proof of that. A nice dreadnought sized guitar with a cutaway that somehow combines the Venetian and Florentine look. Spruce top, rosewood back & sides, mahogany neck with ebony board displaying the exquisite ‘tree of life’ inlay in bold abalone and MOP. The abalone continues to the binding of the body and sound hole rosette creating a striking look. Most impressive is the sound that this 25+ year old guitar has developed which is rich and full and antithesis of the thinner modern Taylor sound. It does have mild to moderate play wear but actually in quite good shape for its age. Comes w/HSC.
