Here we have a classic vintage 1987 Heritage H-535 looking beautiful with dimensional flamed maple top, pickguard, and sides, ultra thin 1.5" body depth (unlike their later production version), rosewood neck, and Grover tuners. Its humbucking pickups are smooth and well-balanced. Heritage guitars are known to be premium as the company was created by former Gibson luthiers, and this guitar certainly is no exception.
This guitar has been tested and is fully functional. Cosmetically it is in particularly excellent condition, looking especially nice for being over 30 years old with only minimal fret wear, minimal and a finish chip on the side of the neck as well as on the top of the headstock (see photos for general condition or ask for closer detailed shots). Comes with Heritage case, original warranty sheet, and Var-I-phase instruction sheet.
Weight: 8 lbs, 0.8 oz.
Looking online, the controls should be:
Older single VIP
3 Controls and 3 mini switches.
One Master Volume (left)
One Master Tone Control (right).
One upper Single VIP ( Var-i-Phase control). On 10 = in-phase, on "0", = out-of-phase.
The only time this works, is when the 2nd and 3rd mini switches are down.
Looking down at the switches in the playing position, the switches are numbered 1,2,3.
#1 up = coil tap for neck pickup.
2 & 3 down = VIP for bridge pickup.
2 & 3 opposite each other = stand-by (dead), or both coils.
2 & 3 both up, = coil tap for bridge pickup.
