Up for grabs is this completely re-fabricated Celestion G12K-100 LOUDspeaker..... And- I mean LOUD speaker!!!

These are built with the PMR's "RHINO KONZ" cone assemblies, and aluminum former/radially vented voice coils... These are COMPLETELY rebuilt from the inside out, so they are basically new units again- ONLY BETTER!

.....If you need "Heft" in those lower 3 octaves, for drop tuning, 7 string players, even JAZZ players, you'll appreciate what these things can do.. .. ..

You CAN use these for ANY style or genre', since you have tone controls on your guitar AND your amp to dial back the aggressive fat, thick, meaty 3D tonality that there savages provide!

*** I was told that these were used on The Raskins/Motley Crue/Alice Cooper tour here in Ohio around 11 years ago!......sooooo, I bought all of them!

It was COMPLETELY re-fabricated at PMR in Ohio, with all new OEM/ AMERICAN made components....

***There are NO after market,,, replacement, or import/Chyna made crap, but ONLY AMERICAN components....***

The magnetic gaps were verified with a gauss/flux probe and measured just fine.So, I wanted to keep them on their original; vintage charges...

Then- the fun began... I'll itemize each component used......

* Front mounting gaskets- These are the OEM Celestion type foam rubber gaskets... Standard 4 bolt mounting pattern.

*Litz wires- I opted for the cost of pure COPPER Litz wires....If you measure a length of the "industry standard" pot metal woven silver stuff, and then the copper Litz with a square wave generator, and O-scope, you'll see why I ONLY use COPPER Litz wires on ALL of our new builds, rebuilds, fabrications, and repairs. There's a BIG difference.

*Spider assembly... A high compliance (loose) treated textile spider assembly with a FLAT profile was used....Nothing too far out of the ordinary with these.....

* Dust caps-- These are a re-pressed pulp material, with a lip up design, and smooth, deep dome appearance. I wanted a smooth/hard radiating surface to enhance the upper midrange frequencies, which a stock screen type will not do..

*Voice Coils- These are VERY high quality coils... Pure copper ( NONE of that CCAW crap!) windings, in a 2 layer design..... The formers are ALUMINUM , so you'll get that "Power-Vintage" tonality when used with the cones I chose......

Each is 8 Ohms, and although the OEM Kapton former coils in these large magnet G12K100 frames were good for 100 watts, these have an even HIGHER thermal limit...What the actual max power is- I have NO IDEA!!! And- these are RADIALLY vented to get rid of the heat build up in the coil area and p[rovide a bit of air exchange..

*Hook Up- I simply kept the OEM tab/ spade terminal hook ups there to use.

* Cones- these are the star of the show!... These use the PMR " RHINO KONZ"< which is a special recipe' of long fiber pulp, Kapok, fiber glass, special binders ( NO LATEX LIKE Tone Tubby!), and a small % hemp fibers, so these are physically TOUGH cones... They are partially ribbed bodies with a straight/conical profile..They have the surrounds molded into the cone assembly ( all paper/ full paper body/ fixed edge), and have a sealer applied to prolong the surround life for almost an eternity..They weigh in at 22 grams, so they have "HEFT": with their neck dipped/ repressed machining...

That about sums it up for the descriptions on the parts..

AAAAND- I'm confident enough that you'll LOVE what you just bought, that I am including my 15 day "NO GAMBLE" return option from delivery date (((less customer damage))) if for ANY REASON you simply don't like them, or you dis-agree with ANY of this!

So, if ya' want a killer sounding 12" with an American flavored "Power-Vintage" tonality that is GREAT for leads , drop tuning, 7 string, and "crunch", at a fraction of a new unit.......then here ya' go!!!
