For sale is an original early-1960s Fender Stratocaster body, correct for 1962, finished in a Fiesta Red refin.

This body was originally purchased by me with the rest of the 62 Stratocaster all original besides this refin in 2018 from Carter Vintage Guitars (Nashville, TN). The Fiesta Red refinish was skillfully performed by Jon Williams, longtime master luthier associated with Carter Vintage.

At a later time, while the guitar was being refretted and set up by Joe Glaser (Glaser Instruments, Nashville), he commented on the high quality of the refinish work. This is offered as personal provenance and context — not as an endorsement.

While the body has been refinished and thinned before at some point in its life, it remains an authentic pre-CBS Fender alder body with correct early-’60s construction and routing.

Why this body makes sense
